Hey I’m Lauren!

Having lived with chronic illness, including Fibromyalgia, throughout much of my early life, I have a deep and personal understanding of chronic pain. Since my early teens, I have explored alternative therapies, inspired by the belief that if these conditions can develop, healing is also possible.

My treatments are gentle and grounded in a sensitivity to chronic pain and the unique experiences each person brings. Creating a safe, nurturing space is at the heart of my work, a place where you can feel fully supported.

I co-teach the Zen Shiatsu Short Course at the Australian Shiatsu College, where we emphasise the principles of stillness, presence, and connection. For me, Shiatsu is a holistic and embodied practice. It is through stillness, attentive touch, and genuine presence that the deepest shifts can occur.

I also teach Oriental Diet Therapy at the College, sharing my understanding of food as medicine, an approach that has been central to my own journey. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy creating wholesome meals for workshops and community events, offering food that nourishes through simplicity, colour, and love.

With a background in Event Management, I am passionate about building community and creating spaces for connection. Over the years, I have co-facilitated a range of Shiatsu initiatives, including Shiatsu Therapist Retreats, a monthly Shiatsu Community Clinic, and a regular Shiatsu Yin Yoga class.

For several years, I also provided Shiatsu services in corporate settings across Melbourne, adapting treatments for massage tables, chairs, and futons to meet the needs of diverse environments.

I am continually inspired by the traditional wisdom of Eastern cultures and their emphasis on balance, moderation, and living in harmony with nature. Shiatsu is more than a therapy for me, it is a way of life that embraces connection, presence, and deep listening.
